Button2DataRef programming / rotary encoders

Featured Replies

Need to pick your brains.......I've built myself a simple panel with rotary encoders (with push button) and toggle switches. I have everything I wanted to do, working well. The question I have is, can I take a single rotary encoder and assign it to tune for example Com1, both the fine and coarse adjustment, by using the push button function of the encoder to toggle between the two, thus eliminating the need for two encoders, or a very expensive dual concentric encoder. I've gone through the documentation for this plugin, don't really see what I'm after. I can't figure out a way to toggle between the fine and coarse adjustments. I'm using a bu0836x card.GlenEdit: I'm using this in XPX and Button2DataRef Version 2.2

Never mind, found a solution. No need for Button2DataRef.Assign right turn of encoder to coarse up, and assign left turn to fine up. Assign the push button to Com1 toggle standby. Works fine, and alleviates the need for 2 encoders per Com1, Com2...etc, or dual concentric which are a ridiculous price.Glen
