AMD Graphics Issues

Featured Replies

Here's my full specs before I begin..HP DV6T Quad Edition:Intel Core i7-2670QM 2.20GHz8GB DDR3 RAM750GB 7200rpmAMD Radeon GDDR5 HD 7470M Now when ever I go on FSX after 5 minutes the screen flicks black 2/3 times and I get a message saying "Display Driver Stopped Responding and has been recovered". Also happens when trying to render out a video in Sony Vegas it just wont do it!Is there any fixes? I still got till the 26th of January 2011 to get a refund but I really like the Laptop and wouldn't want to give it up.Also I tried Re-Installing all the Graphic Drivers and CCC and nothing! Still happens. Looking online and seems no one really has an answer.Has anyone had the same or can help? I've personally always have Nvidia and loved them so this is my first time with AMD and I can happily say I'm disappointed.

Sounds like a video driver problem. Make sure you have the latest version. Download here (assuming you are running 64-bit).Also make sure you have the latest MSVC and .NET Runtimes by enabling Windows Update.Cheers,- jahman.

Yeah am running 64-Bit, installed that CCC and everything else is up too date. I'll do a test later and if I still get it you think good idea to return to HP as I still have 15 days to get a refund?

It done it before even rendering out a video.. So hasn't worked.

Did you completely remove the old driver before upgrading to the new one, as per AMD's instructions?-V

Thanks for the input but after some tests found a problem with the graphics card itself so got a refund. Most likely build my own PC! Cheers
