December 30, 200223 yr I am fairly new to using Flight Sims, and fairly new to realistic flying methods. I have been reading and following tutorials (from FS2002), and I don't quite understand how trim works and when/where you should use it.Can someone point me to a good resource for understanding it without having to take full flying lessons? Thanks!
December 30, 200223 yr Hi Cyberious,Trim is used to relieve control forces that result for the way a plane is loaded (center of gravity), how it is configured (flaps, landing gear, etc), and the amount of power being used. The "See How it Flies" site has a good description of trim as well as general flight dynamics:http://www.monmouth.com/~jsd/how/Cheers,John
