January 23, 201214 yr Hi,Hi, a few days ago I was having a problem with FSX (not REX weather engine), I tried EVERYTHING, nothing worked and ended up reinstalling Windows. Problem still not solved (which is btw not a very big problem, the problem was small...) Well, now a new problem happens (as usual). This I why I'm so fed up with FSX. Problem 1 is solved, and problem 2 arrives. And always it's a problem that I could never think it could happen. So here's the problem: I've been running REX 2.0 Overdrive along with it's weather engine for a while now. But the problem is now, after reinstalling windows, it's not working anymore. When it loads up the weather engine, it's not loading anything at all. So when I click the "Load Wx" button, it loads up until 4% and does nothing anymore. When I move the Rex Wx engine window away, behind it is another window with some kind of error message saying: "FIREWALL ALERT!: Please make sure rexweatherengine2.exe can operate in/out bound via firewall". Really a strange message, so I went to firewall, excluded REX Wx engine.exe and applied settings. Still didn't work. I've tried switching of Firewall, I've tried excluding it in MS Security Essentials... Nothing works. In the RealEnvironmentXtreme folder is the SimConnect installer. I ran it, and still after this it doesn't work. UAC is also off. I'm out of options. Just so fed up with FSX, it never works. For me at least, there is always at least ONE problem. Can't stand it anymore...Over at the REX forums they don't seem to have the answer for my problem so that's why I'm asking here...Hope you can help me,Greetings,Arjen Arjen Vandervelde
January 24, 201214 yr Have you tried going into your REX folder and right clicking the rexwxengine2.exe and running it as admin? That might get it to go.... Let me know if that works.... Dustin Baker

January 25, 201214 yr Author Please email me at: [email protected]I will see if I can help you directly.I've simply fixed it by deleting REX via Add/Remove programms, then deleting the REX folder from C:/.../AppData/Local. Then I reinstalled REX RTM, then I installed REX 2.0 Overdrive package, and problem solved! Don't know how cuz normally reinstalling doesn't work, but thanks anyway! Arjen Arjen Vandervelde
