January 25, 201214 yr My computer gets random blue screens when loading a java or flash application. It doesn't happen all the time, but lets say in one week it will BSOD at least three times. I know it related to flash or java because as soon as I load a flash app like liveatc, or YouTube video, or some other flash file it will instantly BSOD. This happens with java at certain times as well. I am using Google Chrome and have checked and I already have the latest JAVA and Flash updates. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 Bit, and I have all the latest windows updates, and I already ran a full system scan for viruses and my PC is clean, I also use Ccleaner regularly.Any Ideas? It could be an incompatibility with Chrome or your video card or your sound card too. A virus will cause a BSOD too. There are so many variables you need to look for that it requires a lot of troubleshooting. There are a lot of ways to fix a BSOD but the first thing you should download and run is BlueScreenView from http://www.nirsoft.net. It will show you the files that caused the crash and the STOP code in case you didn't see the STOP code. Once you know the STOP code you can check it out at - http://msdn.microsof...y/ms681381.aspx - which provides you with every system error code. You can then Google the STOP code and see possible solutions to your problem(s). The files shown by the Blue Screen View program that caused the crash will also provide you with valuable clues. You can Google the file and you will see hundreds, if not thousands, of other individuals who had the same problem and how they fixed the problem. The fact that your system passed a memtest does not necessarily indicate your system is stable and your memory is okay. It has to be really stressed and a wrong voltage setting or wrong frequency setting will not always show these problems. Hope this helps.Best regards,Jim Edited January 28, 201214 yr by firehawk44
