February 28, 200422 yr Hello to all;Problem as follows; I have 13 GoFlight modules. I have 6 U.S.B. HUBS, each HUB accepts 4 inputs. I have the 13 modules tied to 4 HUBS. Because each HUB accepts 4 inputs I have 3 HOBS full and 1 with only 1 input ((4+4+4+1) = 13). I have 2(the ones with the GoFlight USB cables) of this HUBS tied to another HUB and the other 2 HUBS tied to another HUB. I have two cables from my U.S.B. port in the mother board, I connect this 2 hubs to this 2 cables. Now I have the 13 modules tied to my computer using only 2 hubs. When I run Flight Sim my rate is 24fps, all ok up to here. Then I connect my CH pedals and yoke to the HUB that only have 1 input cable and my rate drops down to 3 or 4fps. Pleeeassssseee, what is wrong. I then disconnect the CH pedals and yoke from this HUB and connect them direct to other U.S.B. ports in this mother board and the rate remains at 24fps. Please, Why I cant connect the CH pedals and yoke to the HUBS.Thank you all for your time and help.
February 29, 200422 yr There are two speeds in USB a high and a low your best bet is to plug all the Go flight stuff in so it uses one usb port at the mother board and the low speed pedals and yoke to the other motherboard port.Or buy an expansion card with more USB ports. Allen
February 29, 200422 yr Author I have six GF modules and my CH stick/throttle/rudders connected to a single (powered) 7-port hub, with the three CH devices going to a USB 4-port hub (unpowered) that then goes to one of the 7-port hub's inputs. All of my GF units go directly to inputs on the 7-port hub. Both hubs are USB 1.1-compliant (Not USB 2.0). My PC's motherboard is USB 2.0-compliant, but I would doubt that that makes a difference since all of these devices are USB 1.1. Thus far, I have seen no FS/system performance issues due to my setup. (But then, I don't have the Yoke - I'm using a USB Combatstick 568.)I really don't have an idea as to what is going on with your setup, but the first thing that comes to mind is to reduce the # of hubs you have, by doing something similar to what I've done. Use a 7-port hub as your "master", whose output goes to one of your PC's USB ports, and group some of your GF modules into two or three "satellite" 4-port hubs that are then each connected to inputs on the 7-port hub. I would suggest using 4-port hubs that are powered (i.e. have their own AC adaptor).Alternatively, attempt to delete ALL references to USB devices on your system - and BTW I don't know how to do this; I'm sure it involves (risky) Windows registry hackage - and then add the devices back in to your system one by one.Another idea, that is slightly less pervasive than that, is to attempt to delete ALL CH files and drivers from your system, as well as any registry references to those, and then re-install, making sure that you're using the latest and greatest CH files.Good luck,Dave BlevinsP.S. One of the mysteries of the universe is why no-one offers a USB hub that has more than seven inputs... 8^)P.P.S. when you bring up your Game Controllers applet in Windows, and try to calibrate your CH devics, do you get the generic Windows calibration routine, or the CH one? If you're getting the Windows one, then I would think that means that you're not using the CH-sourced drivers, but instead the generic Windows axis controller one. (This is a long shot - I'm not sure if this is possible.)
