A Track IR Newbie

Featured Replies

Evening all, Just got the track IR 5 through the post today, so I was eager to try it. I'm very impressed, works nicely in X-Plane. It certainly puts looking around the virtual cockpits way up on another league. And complex cockpits like the CRJ are much easier to get around. Why I didn't buy one before I don't know, but it massively improves the immersion factor. But it takes some getting used to! I'd say learning to use track IR is as hard as learning to fly for the first time without assistance. As an example, when turning right, you tend to have your eyes fixed on the thing you're aiming for, rather than your instruments, and so you overshoot the turn.I'm sure it's something I'll get used to. But I'm wondering if there are some tuning profiles that work better for VC's.
