FScene 2004?

Featured Replies

Been looking at FScene 2004. It's now available a little cheaper (61 Euros/region for all seasons) so now I can at least consider getting it. 61 Euros is still expensive though so I want to ask a few questions.1.The textures in FS2002 were quite dull and boring, so I can understand that FScene was a big improvement, though I never bought it because of the high price. The textures in FS2004 are improved significantly. Does FScene still improve the quality of the textures? Is this improvement worth

Hi JimmiG,Back when I had if for MSFS2002, this is what I concluded (I was very happy with the product, by the way):1 > If I remeber correctly, before they were not that expensive, however I could always be wrong. Don't know if i would pay 60Euros, but the textures are much better than the default ones, that is for sure. (Today, MSFS2004 that is, I use freeware textures. You can find them at the library)2 > No3 > IMO, they look better without autogen. But I still had it on for the big airports :)Bruno Francescoli :-waveStudent Pilot.KOPF PA28-161.

This image from FScene.com shows quite clearly what I mean.http://www.fscene.com/usa-sp-002.jp.g(you need to edit the link to remove the dot in "jp.g". I had to add the dot because otherwise the whole image would be displayed in the post.As you can see, the autogen houses are scattered all over the scene, there are trees on top of the 2D texture buildings etc. With default textures, this never happens because the texture and actual autogen objects are lined up.Are these kind of errors common with the FScene package?I am mostly interested in the North America texture set. I do fly over Europe some, but mostly over photographic sceneries (England and Wales VFR Photographic Scenery, Real Germany and Switzerland Professional), so I don't use the generic textures.
