ASE destination

In future up dates would it be possible to be able to change the distance that the destination airport locks its wx? I just purchased ASE for fs9. I had been using fsmeteo for many, many years. I had the destination locked at 120 nm. nm is too close when using atc. The other night I was flying into klas and winds were 220 at 17 gust 27. But then atc cleared me for 7R and my other option was 1L/R. I was told that once atc has you start decending it has the rwy picked already and winds where you're at determin the rwy. If they're way different from the airport like I had at klas you could have a big tail wind. Fsmeteo lets you choose the distance. And usually atc has you start decent around 100 nm.
