Hi! I've been messing around with picking random airports, mainly in Alaska, hoping to find some difficult or extraordinary places to go. I'm only using the default Cessnas since I really don't have any add-ons conducive to this type of flying. My question is this. What are your favorite airports, strips, et cetera that you frequent the most. They can be difficult approaches, take-offs, or otherwise. I'll even accept airports for flying 737NGs in/out of. Also, what are your favorite bush flying planes for FS9. Any input is appreciated.Chris

Hello Chris,I can't say I've gone around looking for places with difficult take-offs and landings. Maybe some other folks here who have flown some pretty difficult places will come along and share their experience with you and let you know where they are located. I have come in to land at a few but I don't recall where they were at. But I will tell you there is 'Doherty's Difficult and Dangerous Approaches'(Michael Doherty) in the Avsim library. Just search on his name in the Author field or for the filename dddav*.zip. He's made quite a good number of them!As for favorite bush planes. Well, there's quite a few of them! But I guess I'd name the 'Maule M7-260' and the Long Island Classics (LIC) 'Bellanca Scout 8GCBC' as a couple of personal favorites of mine. Awesome planes they are! There really are a lot of other good ones too though. ;)Filenames for Maule M7-260:m7260_v1.zipm7260_11.zipFilenames for Bellanca Scout 8GCBC:8gcbc04a.zip8gcfix.zipCheers, :)Jim

hmmm... considering some recent faa ad's, i would prolly soil my pants having to fly either in the bush. wings falling off in mid air? hmmmm...:-roll(hey, jim, just kiddin', don't shoot! aarrrghhh... too late... :-lol)orlaam, don't forget the husky. you may have to tweak gauge selection and placement to suit your needs, but that's easy. oh, and read this if you think you might like the crate:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...77367&mode=full

Okay thanks guys, I'll check out those items.Chris

737 into Innsbruck still gets my vote as the great concentrator of minds and clenching buttocks!(lol)

Hah, try landing even a regular C172 at Lukla (VNLK) in Nepal. Talk about butt-mastering approach lol :DIn fact, any airport/strip in Nepal is certain to be spectacular :)

and for great visuals in a truly challenging environmenthard to beat justin's and holger's far west outputall the way from tijuana to nomein 38-metre resolutionwow!:)any old mountain strip will do...
