Pan rate

Featured Replies

Hi all Hope this is the right place for this question. It was a bit confusing for a newb. How do I increase the pan rate in VC mode. My head moves a bit faster than the default rate.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/66391.jpg

Hi,In FS9.cfg, under the 'CONTROLS' section, change the default value for PAN_RATE (400 if I remember correctly) to 900 - see below.{CONTROLS}KBDAIL=64KBDELEV=64KBDRUD=64PAN_RATE=900 <-----------Mike

I can find the fs9 folder but not the cfg file in that folder. Please help me! thanks muchly.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/66550.jpg

It is located in your personal "Application Data" folder. On Windows 2000/XP systems, this is located in "...Documents and SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftFS9FS9.cfg". For Windows 9x users the path is "...WindowsApplication DataMicrosoftFS9fs9.cfg". The Application Data folder is hidden, so you will need to enable viewing of hidden files/folders under the Folder Options in your Explorer.Back up your FS9.CFG file first before tweaking.Note also that if you change the pan rate, it will change other stuff too like the increments of moving your seat up and down. I used to use 900 but I've now reverted to 400 (default) as it's more important to me to have fine adjustment on the forward view. Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg
