Greetings All,I normally don't post about individual flying events, but every once in a while it's nice to inform the community what we are up to any given day.Today we have a Poker Run at 1300 Pacific / 2100Z. One of our own citizens, Griphos, has created and running this event. It is going to be a hoot. It really is just an excuse to fly a circle route across some interesting scenery with five stops along the way. We will start and end at the same airport just as if we'd parked our cars and gone for a local flight. During the flight, we'll play a version of Texas Hold'em. Each pilot will be given two hole cards. Keep those to yourself. Each stop will reveal one more card on the "board" that everyone shares. At the final stop, we'll each make the best hand possible combining our hole cards with those on the "board." Winner buys the beer, virtual beer that is! The poker run is not a race. Fly whatever you like. Unless specified, the route will include airports with runways 5000 ft or longer.You can check out the greater details here: <pdf format>.
