February 24, 201214 yr I use Historical Weather a lot. Lets say I pause my flight at FL330 150nm out with 80 knot winds, save the flight in FSX and save the weather in ASE. Next time I go to the flight to complete it, I open the ASE weather I saved. Should ASE bring the winds down to what was originally forecast for surface winds at the airport I'm flying to? Last flight it just held the winds at 80 knots all the way to (a very crappy) touchdown. I know it says if you open a saved flight there are no updates, but shouldn't the winds at the surface be saved already with the file? If not what is a better procedure to use?
