Nose up!

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody!I have a problem! No matter how I try the nose of my aircraft is always way up in the air while flying. The result is that the engines must work awfully hard to reach cruise speed, it looks bad and so on. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?Greatful for any suggestions!/Per

Per,Can't really help much with so little information. What aircraft are having this problem with? How do you have it loaded? How much fuel is onboard? What altitude are you attempting to cruise at? What airspeed/mach no? What met. conditions (i.e. is it very hot?)Don't forget that the majority of aircraft will cruise with a nose-up attitude of 2-3 degrees.Chris

OK! Here is some more info:POSKY 744, with fuel from 30-100%. I normally cruise at FL340-380 at 0.84-0.86 mach. Weather different every time. When I used the MelJet 772 I had this problem a time or two, but not more than that. But now it seems to be this way all the time! It kinda bugs me!/ Per

I would suggest you check the B744 specifications. See what is it's max. cruise ALT and usual cruise speed. But, I think that at FL340 and mach .84, the nose should be few degrees up, like 1-3.I can't help you much with these, because I fly only payware stuff, but I can tell you that it's important that you have weights and fuel set properly, otherwise you might get such weird angles.

I just checked how much the nose is up and it's about 10-15 degrees. That's a little more than I would like it to be... I'm gonna try the MelJet 744 tomorrow and se if the problem is still there./ Per

Try lowering your fuel load to 20% and see if it still happens. Remember the more fuel you have on board, the lower you fly. You climb higher as you burn fuel and your weight decreases. It's called Step Climbing. So try 20% in the wing tanks and zero in the centre tanks, climb to Fl 330 and see if you still have the same andle. It should be about 3 degrees up at that ALT.RegardsTim http://www.flightfactory-simulations.com/h...B_testpilot.jpg

In addition to checking your fuel loading, also check your payload in the W&B section of FS9. You may be way out of specs. You should never have 15-20 degree nose up in the B747, pax could not go to the bathroom, and the FA's carts would be flying down the aisles :-)Bob

LOL.Bob good one actually that happenend to me on a flight once. You kno Cart running into me. THOSE THINGS HURT!!:-lol . But about the airplane Im not sure. You could try e-mailing the creator see if he did somting to fix this or ask him to fix this. This is certainly not an ordinary in airplanes. Hope this helps. Konrad
