Please help me go from 2002 to 2004...

Have an Athlon 1800+ and a GF3 Ti 500 and 512 MB RAM... Hoping for Athlon 64 3400 or 3800 this summer and the fastest PCIExpress card that ATI or Nvidia has on the market and a gig of RAM, but till then I won't have the horsepower... Always seemed to be able to run FS2002 adequately with 2X AA with my current rig, and medium to high on all settings... In the context of FS2004:1.) Can I expect the same performance? It seems like most report that performance with FS2004 is "at least" as good as with FS2002... Sound right?2.) The Autogen "problem"... What is the fix for this?3.) Chris Willis cloud fix that improves FPS with textures that are more simple... Or is there another package that's recommended...?Any other tips/tricks I should know?THANKS!

I run a virtualy identical system. I run Chris Willis' clouds, resized Autogen textures (here at avsim) the airport enviroment upgrade textures with lots of custom and PAI AI and some addon mesh. I have trouble in large cities (NYC, Boston etc Mostly due to AI Since I run mine at 90-100%) but since I do alot of Bush flying it's no biggie. I lately have been running with the frame rate lock off and seem to get a pretty smooth 20-30 fps in rural areas with moderate to light aircraft complexity (Milton's Commander 500, My PC-12)Brian
