Microsoft Flight Installation Problems

Featured Replies

I am currently having problems installing Microsoft Flight. I install the program, and the intro screen pops up, than I go into full screen and all I get is a black screen and everything is frozen. Ctrl-alt delete, windows key, alt tab, nothing works, and I have to do reset.I have installed this program successfully on a laptop of mine, but as you can imagine, the graphics are all low. The problem arises when I try installing on my desktop. I get these two error codes during installation, windows has a problem with Visual C++ 2008, 2010 vcredit x86.exe. I have reinstalled both of these programs and have tried multiple installs of Microsoft flight to no avail. Any help with this problem would be much appreciated.

had that too, currently not anymore. did you try various downloads of the base pack? I know it is big and annoying to download but I got it by now at least 13 times. in almost all cases the download was corrupt, funnily the installer sometimes finished even with a corrupt download. found that out when I tried to unzip the download with winzip which gave me some crc errors. so download and then unzip the download, if OK then keep that download by copying it somewhere, serves as backup and you do not need to download over and over again. then start the setup.exe in the content folder of the unzipped download, you will then need the product key which you can find in the live marketplace under your purchases. this method to install flight worked for me

I took your advice, unzipped the downloaded file and than proceeded to install. I now get to the welcome splash screen and the game freezes, a little further than last time, but still have to reboot pc.
