March 17, 200422 yr Is there a tutorial anywhere that shows you how to change the AI planes and radio chatter to real airlines? What is the easiest way to do this? Thanks!!!!
March 17, 200422 yr This one is quite good:http://users.skynet.be/robflsim/RFWAI2en.htmlA collection of other tutorials relating to the sim and AI from the the mother of AI websites, Project AI:http://afcad.projectai.com/faq.htmlP.S. FINALLY back AvSim - Congrats!! I was getting shakes from not getting online here lol :D
March 18, 200422 yr Thanks for the reply. Can the ATC also change? Does it actually say "Delta" or "Southwest"?I see mention of the Ultimate Traffic software...does this do what I want without all of the text editing and moving of files?
March 18, 200422 yr Yes, the ATC already has a HUGE number of airline names already built into it.Ultimate Traffic will do it, but so will Project AI... And PAI is free (though their downloads are currently offline for server maintenance...)
March 18, 200422 yr >though their downloads are currently offline for>server maintenance...)Actually we are adding a second server just to handle the PAI files themselves. Yep thats only files, not www traffic or forum traffic! The forums are on a separate server (the flightsimmer one). Amazing that we are now edgeing in on 1 Terabyte of file downloads per month. Thanks to all of our supporters, we really appreciate your patronage and friendship :-)Frank CubillosProjectAIhttp://fsgateway.com/frank/fs9paibeta.jpg
March 19, 200422 yr Again, thanks!!!!I will try to give Project AI a try...I tried to download, but it appears PAI is still doing their maintenance.
March 21, 200422 yr I have Project AI running...fantastic!!! But how do I get rid of the default "fictional" airlines? I tries running the "remove default" pai file, but it did not work. Also, what is the proper way to install AFCAD files to ensure accuracy in gate assignments? Thanks again to all!!!!
March 21, 200422 yr >Yes, the ATC already has a HUGE number of airline names>already built into it.Not really - only 196. You will find it extremely limited as soon as you leave US airspace (in US airspace it's only "limited", not "extremely limited") :-)The current count with EditVoicepack default callsigns is 1791.
March 22, 200422 yr Go into Flight Simulator 9SceneryWorldscenery directory and rename traffic030528.bgl to traffic030528.bak or something like that. That disables the default traffic. You can also separate the GA traffic out if you want.
