March 3, 201214 yr Hi.After 5 1/2 years of happily using my Saitek X52 joystick (with throttle quadrant), over the last week I've realised that the joystick isn't as stiff as it used to be. Even though it still works I am finding that it is making flying harder and I miss the stiffness that the X52 had.I could try and fix it, however, I wouldn't know where to start and because of it's age I think it's time for a replacement. The question is, should I just replace it with another X52, as I have been very happy with it until now, or should I go for the X52 Pro instead? Ignoring price what would I gain buying the X52 Pro?Out of curiosity, what mechanism gives the X52 it's stiffness? Is it the spring which you can see on the column below the handle or are there springs buried below in the base? After getting a replacement joystick I might decide to pull the old X52 apart to see how it works and maybe try and fix it, depending on how easy it is, and use as a backup/secondary joystick. Thanks, Martin ~ Martin Smith
