Util.dll

Featured Replies

I have recently(in the last couple of weeks) started to get this problem I will be flying along, in my 737NG(because this is the only plane I fly), and all of the sudden my Fs screen, running in windowed mode, goes black. Then the familiar Send/Don't Send error, and the faulting module is 'util.dll'. Sometimes I will get this error, sometimes not. I cannot fathom a pattern to the crashes. My system is XP2000, 512MB RAM, PNY Ti4600(53.03) FS9, tons of scenery. I have tried to disable any recently installed scenery, but that doesn't work. Can anyone help me out?

Bummer Fred. :( Don't know that I can help. You can check to see if your util.dll matches mine if you want. Mines says:filesize: 131,072 bytesversion: 9.0.0.30612I doubt it's of any help checking that out, but you never know I suppose.Good Luck,Jim

Jim,My util.dll matches that. I am going to copy the util.dll off of the FS2k4 cds right now(as you said you never know) and hope for the best.

Hi Fred,It looks like either you may not have installed the 9.1 update or somehow the file has reverted back to the default version.I've just checked mine and the version number is 9.01.040901Here is a list of the modules which have been updated in my Flight Simulator 9Modules folder:ABLSCPT.DLLACONTAIN.DLLAI_PLAYR.DLLATC.DLLCONTROLS.DLLDEMO.DLLDYNAMIC.DLLFACILITIES.DLLFE.DLLFLIGHT.DLLFSUI.DLLG2D.DLLG3D.DLLGLOBAL.DLLgps.DLLgps_export.dllINSTRUCTOR.DLLMAIN.DLLmpchat.DLLMULTIPLAYER.DLLPANELS.DLLREALITY.DLLSIM1.dllSimScheduler.DLLSOUND.DLLSYMMAP.DLLTERRAIN.DLLTraffic.DLLUTIL.DLLVISUALFX.DLLWeather.DLLWINDOW.DLL(The gaps are mostly occupied by various 3rd Party modules)Hope this is helpful.MikeEdit: Perhaps this should be moved to the FS9 Forum?
