March 14, 201214 yr Hi all. Wow its been a long long time since I have been here on these forums. Anyway I've had FSX for many years now but have stuck with FS2004 since my laptop could never run FSX decently. I have a new laptop now, surprisingly a dual core Celeron 1.5ghz is running FSX very nicely at high settings. So I really want to get back into FSX.I just need some suggestions for the best freeware realistic world scenery. I'm also looking for some better sky textures and water textures. Anyway that will get me started. I'm doing some searching but i figure those here that have been here a while would be able to lead me in the right direction. Any other suggestions for a newbie I'm all ears. One thing I do notice is that SP1 runs better than SP2. The ground is a bit wavy in SP2 so think I'm going to stick with SP1.And don't laugh at my Celeron, I've always liked Celerons and this laptop runs great. I can run FS2004 at ultra high settings and still get 50+ frame rates. And at $278 it was a steal.Ok, thanks for any suggestions.
