Startup Problem.

Featured Replies

I am unable to get FS to start in a default flight. It starts at the main create-a-flight screen no matter what. I've tried various things. I seem to recall a check box in earlier FS versions that controlled what you saw on start up, but can't find anything of that nature. Anyone have an idea,I'm stumped.Matt Collins

If you want to go directly into a flight when you start up from the desktop you can go into My DocumentsFlight Simulator File and click on the exe titled Previous flight. That will start up the sim right where you left off, bypassing the startup menu. Another option that will bring you right into the default flight in the C172 at KSEA is this one: C:..Flight Simulator 9FlightsOtherFLTSIM.I hope this is what you are looking for.

Even if you start from the "Previous Flight" file, you'll still start up at the "Create A Flight" screen. When you have the flight you want to start with set up just as you like it, click on "Flights", "Save Flight" and check the "Make this the Default Flight" box.MSFS will still start at the "Create a Flight" screen, but just clicking "Fly Now" right away without changing anything will start it up just as you saved it.Richard

I guess that's what I was trying to avoid. You were able to have previous versions go directly to a specific flight or the default CGX rwy 36, bypassing the front screen. You had the choice based on a selection in the settings, but apparently it's not in thuis version, because I don't see it. Thanks for the input, guys.Matt
