Baron B55/E55 Paint Kit
I picked this model up during the sale yesterday and I have got to say that it is simply beautiful! So, my question is whether a paint kit has been release yet or not. I am itching to create a repaint to match my FSEconomy Baron. Thanks, Eric

Aerosoft Huey X
I got to playing around with Fraps and Windows Live Movie Maker yesterday and threw together this video of a flight in the Aerosoft Huey X in FSX. A new gaming laptop now allows me the performance to use Fraps without a noticeable performance hit. This one was recorded at half size with the frame rate limited to 25 fps. The next one I try will be full size with a higher frame rate set to see how it looks. It's nowhere near as nice as most videos here but I had fun with it and I hope you enjoy it.

time for a new laptop
Hey, I bought an ASUS G-50V laptop from Best Buy about year ago and it runs FS9 beautifully. It also runs FSX respectably as well. It has a 2.2 ghz dual core cpu, 4gb ddr2 ram, geforce 9800m and 300gb hd. So that's what I know works. I can run FS9 with sliders set mostly right and get 30-40 fps and FSX runs about 20-25 fps with moderate display settings. I guess this one was a bit more than $800 though. It was about $1200 a year ago.

Saving inverted alpha channel
I have been away from repainting for quite some time now and am having a problem with DXTbmp in that I can't figure out how to save changes to the alpha channel. Specifically all I am trying to do is invert a white alpha to black and save it. I can save changes I have made to the main bitmap file but not the alpha channel. I have got to be missing something but I am not sure what. Every time I reopen the edited file, the alpha is the original white. I am using the latest version of DXTbmp (downloaded today) on Windows Vista Home Edition 64 bit and FSX Acceleration SP2. Thanks

BT and R4D FSX Issues
Is this fix for the R4D/DC-3 windows posted in the library. The link posted here is dead now. I just started with FSX finally on a new computer that can actually run it and have slowly been adding aircraft to it. Thanks guys, looking forward to running the DC-3 in FSX.

FSArchitect question
Nobody uses this?

FSArchitect question
I have been playing around with FSArchitect now that it has been released as freeware. It looks to be quite a powerful program and I am not having the easiest time wrapping my head around it. I lost the object tree or whatever you want to call it. It's the highlighted portion in the screenshot that I am talking about. I can't figure out how to get it to show up again. The manual I downloaded doesn't have a list of key commands and I can't find anywhere in it where it talks about that window. Anybody know how I can bring it up again? http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/173580.jpg

IRIS Aircraft Giveaway
Yep, I think they would have been better off uploading them here or to another file library.

Removing default rivers?
Hi guys, I am new when it comes to working with scenery design. I am working on making a new version of the Chehalis River but I am having problems getting rid of the default river. I used the Freeflow tutorial by Scott Gridley to do this project. Here is a screenshot of what I am looking at. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v145/Rou...project_001.jpg

Classic liners vol 1
I have got Vol. 1 also, which I bought mainly for the 737-200. I enjoy the 747's as well, but don't fly them as often since I have purchased the PMDG 747-400 as well. If you want to use an INS with the 737, I recommend the CIVA Delco Carousel INS which I use in it.

PMDG 747-400 Question for those who have it
Well, I am sure you could do it with out programming the FMC, but it still takes a lot of setup to get it to fly properly. It is not one where you can ctrl+E and go. You still have to make sure all the systems are functioning before you fly. If you have no hydraulics, your brakes won't work, flaps won't work... and so on. If you aren't going to fly it the way it was meant to be flown, it would be a waste of $54. Were I you, I would look at the Aerosim or Overland models. They are much more simple, but still look good.

Tinmouse II released
>With the NAV/RAD button in NAV, select heading on the Sperry>77 autopilot to allow the INS to drive the A/P heading. The>airplane will fly the heading commanded internally by the INS.> Note that the heading bug is not slaved by the INS in this>mode.>>Regards>>Bob Scott>ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300>Santiago de ChileI am not convinced this will work. I attempted a flight this morning after inputting a flight plan into the INS but it wouldn't follow the plan. I went ahead and added the Nav Mode Selector that the CIVA documentation says needs to be installed in the panel. I haven't tried it out yet, but will later today and see if it works. The way I read the documentation for the INS is that the autopilot has to be in heading mode with the Nav Mode Selector for the CIVA INS set to INS1 or which ever unit you desire if you have a multiple unit set up.
