ATC - Airline names

Featured Replies

I would like to know whether it is possible to add new airline names in ATC. It is rather strange to fly a British Airways airplane and have it addressed as "American Pacific" or similar...Thanks in advance for any help.

You can change the name in the aircraft.cfg file for your airplane. At least in FS2004 the "British Airways", among others, must be included in the ATC vocabulary. Otherwise you can get EditVoicepack from http://bevelstone.xs4all.nl/FlightSimulator/EditVoicepack/ to include missing airline names and other.

Thank you very much for your hint. I will check the availability of other airlines names, however in the menu I found when choosing an airplane and defining the ATC calls, only a very restricted number of airlines was there.Have a nice weekend.

If you use the above mentioned Editvoicepack program it has ability to update FS so you will have a huge number to chose from in that list.By the way, British Airways' callsign is Speed Bird and I believe its build into FS already so if you add this in the aircraft.cfg of a plane under the line of atc_airline=Speed Bird (instead of American Pacific) it should work just fine.
