Visualfx.dll was updated with Acceleration and SP2. It appears you have just SP1 installed or just the original FSX. The current visualfx.dll version is 10.0.61637. Make sure SP2 has been installed or Acceleration if you own Acceleration. Visualfx.dll handles your effects so a crash associated with this dll is usually because of a bad install of an addon. You state you did not install anything so it must be a corrupted FSX install. If this does not fix your problem, do a Google search for visualfx.dll and you'll see a lot of possibilities for the cause of this crash throughout the flight sim community.Best regards,Jim
