January 25, 200323 yr At this time two small aircraft, a Piper Cheyenne and an unnamed Cessna have collided over the city of Denver. The Cessna lost a wing and crashed into a house...minutes later bursting into flame. The Piper ended up in an inverted flat spin, crashing into a backyard, miraculously not hitting anything. 3 deceased (all on the aircrafts) and only minor injuries to persons on the ground. Possible 4th death in the destroyed house, unconfirmed, now being reported. The aircraft are reported to be from Centennial and Jeffco airports. Both under "flight-following" at low altitude. A third pilot, with a student, reported a conversation between ATC and the aircraft involved, with a traffic alert...apparently no answer from either aircraft.
