March 31, 200422 yr Hello. For some reason my rudder is misalligned and will not center no matter what I do to adjust it. I'm using the thrustmaster elite rudder and have it for 5 years now along with the SFS combo and was connected to a CH's game port. I have since change MB which does not have ISA so now it is conected only to the soundcard game port. This is mess up so that when I push the rudder to the right, it increases the engine rpm as if I have moved the throttle. Can anybody help? or does anybody knows of conector to convert serial port to USB? Also this happens in all my other flightsims. If it needs cleaning, can you show me how to open and clean it as I have not cleaned it since. Thnx
March 31, 200422 yr I had this problem a while ago - kept flying round in everdecreasing circles until I finally disappeared up my own ****- eventually solved it by uninstalling the joystick etc, giving it a bit of a clean inside, then after reconnecting it , making sure it was properly centered before using the configuration setup in Windows - took two or three goes but it did sort itself out . I think the problem arises when ,for whatever reason ,the control device ( rudders or stick) is not properly centered at setup.Dave
March 31, 200422 yr As a quick check, you can centre rudder, aileron and elevator in FS by using the keypad `5` (that's with num lock off). I always do this as part of pre-flight checklist as it makes the runway tracking much easier, at least on my system. Allcott
March 31, 200422 yr It sounds like it is not being seen correctly in Joystick setup. If you set it up as a "3-axis, with rudders" instead of a "4-axis joystick" the responces you have seen are the results. Try selecting a different combination and see if it works. Hope this helps !:)
