March 27, 201214 yr Hi all,The Cape-to-Cape Cup is now officially posted with rules, etc, now available. The Registration thread is open as well. All at the Sim-Outhouse Multiplayer Forum here: http://www.sim-outho...tiplayer-EventsThis is an event something like the 2009 London-Melbourne Race. Golden Age pilots fly from Europe's North Cape to Africa's Cape of Good Hope in 1930s vintage aircraft using primitive navigation abilities. They follow a route through the Alps, over the Sahara, along the Congo, and then the highlands and savannahs of British East Africa. This part of the event recreates the atmosphere of Golden Age intercontinental flight. Modern Era pilots fly a reverse course from South to North using contemporary aircraft and modern navigation techniques. The challenge here is not only speed but precision as well. You may fly in either or both aviation eras. This is meant to be a fun event where pilots get a chance to enjoy the challenge in a friendly and only mildly competitive atmosphere. It is scheduled for April 7-May 14. You may fly whenever you like, fitting your legs into your own schedule. You are cordially invited.Mike (and the Spring Event Team) --Mike MacKuen
