Got a Windows Problem - Can Anyone Help?

Featured Replies

Using Win7 x64 and got a glitch...

When I select either the Devices and Printers, My Network or Bluetooth Devices option from either the Start button OR the control panel, the PC scan never finishes and nothing shows. Just an empty window. Tried rolling back Windows several times but doesn't help.

I desparately need to connect to my mobile phone that does not have USB:-(

Any ideas what might cause this or how to fix it?

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

Click Start button, type "services" in the search then look up in the menu and select Services. Find 'Bluetooth Service" and make sure it has started, right click and set to 'automatic', Select "Bluetooth Support Service" and start and set to automatic. I think it's trying to find your Bluetooth Devices and that's why it shows nothing.

Best regards,

Jim

Many thanks for help Jim, and you're definitely on the right track as, although Bluetooth was enabled in the BIOS, the service was indeed disabled.

I'm guessing that at some point, I've used one of those darn service stoppers incorrectly, and disabled something else I shouldn't have. The 'Devices and Printers' search is now working correctly, but the PC is still not finding my Bluetooth devices.

I bet it's another service issue....

Ignore my last Jim.

Seems the bluetooth transmitter on my mobo is simply shite and right at the back!

Got to put my mobile phone about 2ft away for decent connection. Might use a USB one on the front panel instead.

Cheers mate!
