Maule checklist - fuel pump switch

Can't say I've payed much attention to the fuel pump switch. I don't even know what it does in the context of Flight.

Absolutely nothing! In real life, though, you want to turn it on for landing and takeoff, in case the mechanical pump fails, so you have a backup.
