I have the original "Deluxe" DVD. I'm assuming I can download the service packs? Should I bother buying the acceleration pack?

 

I saw a couple of complaints that some things don't work with it. Do many add-ons require it? I'm guessing that even if I can't run DirectX 10 I can still have excellent graphics???
