Help! Missing Some City Textures

Recommended Posts

I am running FSX Acceleration (SP2) with UTX USA-Canada, GEX, REX2, and Active Sky Evolution. When I fly around the United States, everything looks great. However, I have been noticing some problems with some cities outside of the US. 411607_633770047879_29800384_32823526_1227869650_o.jpg

This is Havana. I have also noticed the problem in Monterrey, Mexico. I am not yet sure how widespread the problem is. Anyone have any ideas what this could be. and how I can fix it?

Thanks.

Try running the USA UTX Set Up Tool, click ok and then close. Restart FSX and hopefully that will fix. Looking at the shoreline, your terrain.cfg is messed up. Loading the UTX set up tool should put things in order. Only a suggestion.

Thanks for your reply! As it turns out, I was running an old version of UTX and needed to patch it. That fixed Havana... but Monterrey is still empty. Hmm.

Check your scenery lib, making sure UTX is placed between Propeller objects and addon scenery. If you are using any other landclass products, Scenery Tech as an example, place those between:

UT Landclass -Urban and UT Landclass - Vegetation.

Any terrain addons should be below Addon Scenery in the Lib.

Looks like it was a problem with a lack of UTX data in that region, so UTX vegetation was displayed instead of a city. The problem was noted here:
