737NGX installation problems please help me

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Now im guessing this question has been asked before, because upon using a google search theres lots of information flagged up from this forum but the links are dead, so apologise in advance if this has already been covered;

Ok, so heres my info and problems;

I recently completely re-booted by laptop with the intention of solely using it for FSX + PMDG 737NGX.

I am running windows vista. I installed FSX using the guidelines set out by PMDG. I installed FSX as follows. installed to C:\FSX. Then followed the guidelines on installing the SP1 and SP2. Rebooted the laptop etc. Upon trying to install the PMDG 737 package the installation wizard starts then the following error message shows:

'unable to locate fsx.exe. unable to install'

I have tried everything. Running FSX as admin. Running PMDG installer as admin. Completely uninstalling SP2, SP1 and FSX, then reinstalling, still happens. I used the flight1 registry fix tool but that doesnt work either?!

I'd really appreciate some help as I spent the £45 on the addon and am excited about using it.

Thanks all

Gareth

FREE PROGRAM utility: .. make sure it reports a valid registry entry for the location of your FSX install.

It also tells you what version(s) of SIMCONNECT you have installed, FSX SDK, versions of .NET, FSUIPC, etc
