April 21, 200422 yr Okay, now that I know I have this all working, does it make sense to everyone that the best course is to disable GA aircraft in Ultimate Traffic and let GA-Traffic handle the GA entirely? First, it supposedly can help with GA traffic framerates (still not quite sure how) and second, that way there's no confusion over GA aircraft. If I do remove UT GA aircraft, do I recompile my GA-Traffic? Does one even really impact the other with respect to parking spaces? Finally, I'm not sure if I turn off UT GA aircraft if that means I'll never see GA of ANY type at any of the large airports where they may fly.
April 21, 200422 yr I'm running Project AI and I also disabled all other GA traffic - it makes sense. GA-Traffic already does everything that the default GA traffic or any other addon does + more. You shouldn't have to re-compile the GA traffic - it sits in its own bgl file and isn't affected by other traffic BGLs."Does one even really impact the other with respect to parking spaces? "I'm not sure about this one...? It makes sense that if you have both the UT GA aircraft and the GA-Traffic planes, there'd be more planes fighting for the same number of parking spots - but if GA-Traffic is already set to use 100% of the parking spots I don't know what happens (does UT GA planes get excluded? Or does FS mix them?). -
April 22, 200422 yr Hi JimmyG,If you use more than one BGL file with GA-Traffic FS9 will mix them. So if there are 100 GA planes, in the several BGL files, for a airport FS9 will use the most recent ones. If you have more planes than parkings spaces available the planes just disappear, thats all. So I recommend to deselect the UT GA option.
