3D monitor

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I know a few people on here run FSX in 3D.

Very simply - how do you find it?

Also, active/passive (I assume passive since active would hurt FPS too much)?

Finally, is there still the problem with nightlighting and runway lights?

Thanks

edit: I tried searching the forums but '3D' is too short a string

Here's a good link - http://www.planesimu...cles/fsx_3d.htm on setting it up for FSX. Here's another one from here at AVSIM about this subject - http://forum.avsim.n...976-3d-glasses/. The 3d view is awesome IMHO.

Best regards,

Jim

thanks for your reply. Read the AVsim topic you posted and it seems promising!

Have you fixed the lighting issues yourself?

I have not but it's not an issue unless you fly at night. I only fly in 3d during the day. I bought the NVIDIA kit with the 3d glasses, et.al. Then bought one of the recommended monitors. But it will also work with the cheap glasses and a monitor that allows you to turn on 3d.

thanks once again.

I think i'll do some research on monitors. The 27" ones seem pretty expensive, but the 24" ones seem reasonable.
