Just tried the above suggestion. Unfortunately no joy. I've got water where it shouldn't be and messed up/changing textures. Everything up to date. Latest Orbx libraries installed.

Hi there, Hoping someone can help me with the scenery library order within FSX for ORBX products. Currently I have FTX Global, FTX Vector, openLC Europe and FTX Scotland. Within FTX Central, i've had to apply FTX Global with Europe not selected because when I do select Europe, I come across texture problems both within the FTX Scotland region and outside it. With FTX Global selected, there are no problems. I've done a few 'fixes' suggested though this has not fixed the issue. I'm fairly sure it is to do with the scenery order I have in FSX. My current order is, from the top: FTXAA_ORBXLIBS FTX Scotland - - - Addon Scenery OpenLC Europe - - - Standard FSX entries (Edwards_AFB - Africa) ORBX!Vector_OBJ ORBX!Vector_APT ORBX!Vector_CVX ORBX!Vector_EXX FS Global - - Base entries (1107 Base - 0000 Base) ORBXVector_AEC Default Scenery Default Terrain If anyone with these same products could provide any input that would be much appreciated Thank you

Really appreciate your input again. I was thinking about purchasing just one FTX region (Scotland) since that's where I live. It would be nice seeing the individual buildings within Edinburgh and Glasgow. Outside of here, I wouldn't really have any idea what other places are like, so the LC would suffice. That was my initial thoughts, anyway. I'll have a look at OpusFSX. The effects I used before were done through EZdok - the bumps/head movement affect during takeoffs/landings were a very nice feature. EZdok didn't have the most friendly user interface/setup though. Can I assume that the individual FTX regions (eg Scotland) have better detail than FTX Global OpenLC Europe, and that I can combine both these products together? The UK2000 airports were a pleasure to use back when I used to fly on FSX. I'll keep your comments about Aerosoft's airports in mind too, probably pick up one of the ones you've mentioned. Can I ask what weather and traffic program you use? Appreciate your input.

Havn't really touched FSX for what must be near 2 years now due to giving up on crashes/errors/poor performance. Did have one very short session trying out DX10 when the Fixer came out but that was short lived. Bought components last night and should have my new PC up and running within a few days. Specs are: i7 4790k 4.0Ghz Z97X-Gaming 5 mobo. G.skill 8GB 2400Mhz MSI GTX 770 2GB Have a 120GB Samsung 840 evo SSD which i'll be sticking FSX and all addons on. Windows will be installed on my WD velociraptor 300GB. Will also overclock the processor (though it will be my first time). What i'm wondering is what the main addons that are now used for people flying airliners? Previously I used PMDG's 737NGX with REX, UTX and GEX, along with MyTraffic X and Aerosoft/UK 2000 airports. I've had a look at Orbx products and they look great. FTX Global, FTX Global Vector and FTX Global openLC Europe along with their individual scenery regions. Are these the preferred addons now? I'm not really sure on what the difference is between the individual region packs and FTX Global openLC Europe though - is it just a more accurate representation of real life? Also, is REX still the most popular weather addon used? REX overdrive was just being released at the time I pretty much stopped using FSX. Finally, what is the consensus on DX10? Is it much improved over DX9? Appreciate any input

Hi there, After hours and hours of changing sound settings and trying different combos due to not hearing any readback from ATC, I figured out it was because the voice packs I have downloaded from the VOXatc website do not work. When going into Voice Configuration, if I click the 'Speak' button for Microsoft Anna, the 'Speak' button greys out and I hear 'her' speak. When trying for the 2 voice packs I have downloaded, I don't hear anything and the 'Speak' button does not stay greyed out. Very confusing? I have uninstalled the voice packs, and reinstalled them. No fix. Running Windows 7. VOXAtc 6.05 appreciate any help

thanks once again. I think i'll do some research on monitors. The 27" ones seem pretty expensive, but the 24" ones seem reasonable.

Hi there, I know a few people on here run FSX in 3D. Very simply - how do you find it? Also, active/passive (I assume passive since active would hurt FPS too much)? Finally, is there still the problem with nightlighting and runway lights? Thanks edit: I tried searching the forums but '3D' is too short a string

for anyone waiting and wishing for any airliner flying, then if the final nail in the coffin hadn't already been hammered in for you, it has been now.it was a good interview with some very decent questions. The main thing was that the interview confirmed that realistically, airliners will not be an option in Flight.so it's FSX or XP10 for the forseeable future. And from what I have seen, XP10 won't be matching my FSX setup for at least a year.

no interest in Flight at the moment - at all.give me a 737 to PMDG standards and that will change.simple.

Flew out of Miami quite a few times!Zurich airport is an add-on I don't have though.. Would be a good (new) destination.

Though I doubt we will be seeing it any time soon, unfortunately! It should be fantastic. I've never tried the Orbx scenery though I've seen plenty of screenshots and videos. I wonder how much of the region they will include? Whatever it is, it will be a huge difference. Pedals are something I havn't got, actually! I've got a Saitek x52 and a Saitek Pro flight yoke with 2 throttle quadrants.Never thought of an online club before. Might be worth a look!Thanks for your replies guys.

Hi there,Does Horizon GenerationX VFR look better than GEX and UTX together?I've only seen a few screenshots at most, and it doesn't look great. Though I'm not sure if that was Horizon's scenery or not, though it was for the UK.If it looks better, then I'd definitely go for it.Also, how does Horizon's scenery wort with with GEX and UTX? Is it a case of one or the other? (at least for the UK).I actually went on the Horizon website and struggled to find screenshots at all.
