Featured Replies

After of many times getting this error and I have read a lot of topics and to have done many of attempts I'm continuing getting this annoyed error. the last time I've got this error, FSX gives me this information:

C:\Users\Gabriel\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.CFG.txt

C:\Users\Gabriel\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\dxdiag.txt

C:\Users\Gabriel\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\scenery.cfg

C:\Users\Gabriel\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\fdr.dat

C:\Users\Gabriel\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\dll.xml

Any help? I'm very hopeless about this.

Thanks

Gabriel.

I've never seen that error before Gabriel. When do you see this? When you first start up FSX or while FSX is running? I don't see an entry for fsx.cfg. I would delete the fsx.cfg, then restart FSX and let the config rebuild itself.

Best regards,

Jim

Be aware that your fsx.cfg has a .txt extension. Be sure to disable "Hide known file extensions" in the folder setitngs menu.

FYI, the fsx.cfg.txt file is automatically created by FSX anytime there is an error and FSX crashes. The file would have been sent to Microsoft as part of the error reporting package if support was still provided.

Thanks for your help friends. Well I am a victim of the tipical "a fatal error has ocurred..." So I've been reading a lot of solutions across this forum since I have Vista and now W7 64 bit. I've already done the "UIAutomation..." changing it from System32 and 64 folders I've also put on in FSX root folder the specific UIAutomationCore.dll for W Vista... etc.

After being some time flying and just before landing, just when switch off button automatic pilot get this stupid and annoyed error. This last time, in addition this, I had this other message which I sent to Microsoft.

Thanks again

Gabriel

What is the error information shown in the Event Viewer? An 'event' is always created when you have an application crash. To look in the Event Viewer, click on the Start button, type Event Viewer in the search box, look up in the menu and click on Event Viewer. Once the Event Viewer has been loaded, look on the left side and click on Custom Views then Administrative Events. On the right you will see every error or problem that occurred with your computer. Look for the time and date of each crash and provide us with the following:

Faulting module name

Exception code

Fault offset

The PMDG_737NGX.DLL is causing your crash. When you installed the PMDG 737, did you select 'Yes' when asked if you trusted the PMDG_737NGX.dll? The fix and more info is here - http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a5/fixing-the-fsx-dll-trust-policy.aspx?KBSearchID=74868.

If that does not fix the crash, here's an excellent link to a discussion on the problem and a possible solution - http://forum.avsim.net/topic/351178-pmdg-737ngxdll-ctd-problem-resolved/. Exception code: 0xc0000005 indicates you had a memory access violation when the PMDG_737NGX.dll was being called. I strongly suspect you may be overclocked too much or there is a problem with your FSX settings in that the sliders are set too high. There could also be a problem with voltages, DRAM and/or CPU. Here's an excellent guide to make sure your BIOS settings are not set too high http://www.techreaction.net/2011/01/04/3-step-overclocking-guide-%e2%80%93-sandy-bridge-v0-1beta/. This does appear to be a system problem rather than a PMDG problem (otherwise everyone who owns the PMDG 737 would be getting this error). You should also check your Virtual Memory (page file) and make sure it is set to 'System Managed Size'. I have found this works best with FSX. To check this, click on the Start button and in the Search bar type Virtual Memory then look up and click on How to change Virtual Memory settings.

If you still cannot resolve this error, then do a Google search for pmdg_737NGX.dll error. There are a lot of people who had this error but I could find no one who found a solution. But you may see something similar with their system and your system. If you do find a solution, please post it here on AVSIM.

Jim

Thanks a lot Jim, I'm sure that the aircraft was installed successfully, I'm afraid that problem be focused in BIOS, here I'm a completely useless in managing computers. In any way I'm going to try reading trough of links you've suggested me with hope of learning up something.

Best Regards

Gabriel
