April 23, 200422 yr It's that time of the year again where I need to upgrade my current system to something a little faster. I have heard and seen what the new AMD 64 3200+ can do for FS9, but have also seen the benchmarks for Intel P4 3.4GHz which looks pretty good. Does anyone have any sugestions on which would be the better processor for gaming? Here are my current system specs.....AMD Athlon XP 2800+ | 1 GB PC3200 DDR RAM | MSI K7N2 Delta Motherboard w/ Nvidia nForce 2 northbridge chipset | GeForce 4 FX 5900 video card | WD 120GB HDDShawn Andersonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg
April 23, 200422 yr Author Commercial Member Wait until Mid may and get the new Socket 939 Athlon 64 as fast as you can afford with one of the new Nvidia nForce 3 250 based motherboards. Grab the new Nvidia or ATI video card while you're at it and you'll have a screaming FS system ;) The Athlon 64 is gonna give you more performance in the long run when the 64 bit OS and apps start coming out...
