So who knows how to tweak aircraft.cfg files?

Hi all, I have an addon schwitzer helicopter from Just flight which I believe is based on the default r22 in FSX.. It has a know startup problem issue which i am trying to work around.. Iam trying to seperate the throttle from the collective which by default have a corelation between them.. I have changed the aircraft.cfg file under the heading [helicopter] to

tail_rotor_translating_scalar=1.000000

correlator_available=0 (was set to 1)

governed_pct_rpm_ref=0 (was set to 1)

I thought that might turn the link off but apparently not I assume 1 is on and 0 would be off?

 

Connected issue, my engine rpm counter does not read correct on starting the engine the motor rpm goes from 0 to max at 3500 rpm even though the engine noise is more like 1000rpm and I can roll on the throttle to increas engine sound, where can I find the file that links the rev counter to the actual revs maybe I need to adjust that?

The helicopter has a clutch that should be engaged when engine rpm is at 2000, but I cant get the engine to settle on 2000rpm becuase it is reading 3500rpm and I cant engage the clutch becuase when I do it stall the engine..

Starting the heli from cold with ctrl+e works as the clutch is engaged to begin with so it spools up the engine and the blades at the same time but thats not real world..

If I reload the aircraft cold and dark disenguage the clutch then use the ctrl+e to start the engine it immediatel goes to 3500 rpm and even if i use full throttle to really rev the sXXt out of the engine as soon as I engage the clutch the engine stalls..

 

Im fairly new to all this so at the moment I am just clutching at straws hopping to stumble accross the correct files to alter things..

 

If these are symptoms built into the addon that cannot be configured by a user then I will stop wasting time fiddling and just live with it.. But if these things can be altered I would love to know were to look.. The way I see it I need to tell the software:

1, not to stall the motor when the clutch is engaged..

2, get the rev counter to show the correct revs.

3, break the connection between the collective and throttle.

any pointers appreciated..
