April 27, 201214 yr Hi, I have a problem with recent ai flight plans. I have updated several flight plans such as UA, DL and AA to the current Air india Group plans. Before this, I had no problem with the ai aircraft landing, but now, these updated flight plans, a lot of the ai aircraft just appear at the gate with very, very few actually landing. Does anyone know what the possible problem could be? thanks
April 27, 201214 yr Using the file:aig_unitedairlines_winter_2011-2012 as a example. If you installed the flight plan manually using TTools did you remember or know to change all the aircraft speeds from what is provided in the Aircraft_AIG_UnitedAirlines_Wi11-12 file to 200 as per the readme? ie. AC#100,490,"United Airlines Boeing 747-400" would be changed to AC#100,200,"United Airlines Boeing 747-400". I hope this helps you out. Best regards, Mel
April 28, 201214 yr Author No, I left everything the same, except for the actual name. Any other ideas?
April 28, 201214 yr The provided speeds need to be changed if you do not use AI Flight Planner to compile the traffic file and use TTools instead. That is at least for any aircraft that cruises at over 200kts. As per the Alpha India Group readme: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONs: FlightPlans can be installed manually with AI Flight Planner v2 (AIFPv2) or with TTools. For fastest installation we recommend AIFPv2 by Don Grovestine, which you can download at Avsim (aifp2100.zip). More information in our forums: http://www.alpha-india.net/forums/index.php?topic=9594.0 Since we provide accurate cruise speeds for the Flightplans you can leave the 'Use Cruise Speeds from Aircraft.cfg' in AIFPv2's main screen option unticked. If you want to install the FlightPlans manually, unzip the archive. Then go to the Aircraft.txt and change the speed values to 200 (or leave it as is, if the speed is already below 200). Save the file and compile the Aircraft, Airport, and Flightplan files with TTools. Regards, Mel
