Fighting with Livery Manager

Featured Replies

After installing the latest upgrade for the 737's I lost my previously installed liveries. So I set about re-installing them and just can't seem to get it right ... I keep getting an Error Msg "Texture Folder Already Exists"

I resorted to downloading the liveries again and placed them all in one folder on the desktop which the LM finds ... then the error.

See the pic attached.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Many thanks,

PS Ryan's my current hero ... I loved his Tutorials and finally learned how to use an FMC and enjoy the sit back and enjoying! Superb effort there kid.

Ken,

Did you receive a message when you first ran the livery manager after installing SP1c that asked you if you wanted to delete orphaned texture folders? Clicking no to that messages is what causes this. The livery texture folders are still there but the aircraft.cfg entries are gone so it errors when it sees the texture folder already exists.

Try this:

Go to the Start Menu and type "regedit" into the search box - in the Registry Editor window that comes up, find the following location:

HKEY_CURRENT USER\Software\PMDG\Livery Manager\Protected Textures

Delete anything preset in this folder and then run the manager again - it should present the question again, answer Yes this time and it'll clean up all the orphaned texture folders. If that doesn't work you'll have to do it manually - send a ticket, I have a reply for doing it in there...

Many thanks Ryan ... that fixed it ... I must have missed that instruction during the install.
