May 4, 201214 yr which one of these would perform better? ASUS N53SN-EH71- nvidia geforce gt 550 graphics with 2GB DDR3 HP Pavilion dv6-6121tx:AMD Radeon HD 6770 M (2 GB GDDR5 dedicated) Both of them have core i7. and 4gb ddr3 ram.
May 4, 201214 yr DO NOT make multiple posts across the forum. Forums are not owned by you and further such actions are not going to lead to anything good. Hope you understood the warning. Multiple posts have been deleted. I see that you are new, so welcome to AVSIM forums! Now, Laptops suck in general for FSX. But if it must be, then Nvidia has been proven to be better for FSX. But - you could have read that in the Guide in GPU section. "Core I7" doesn't mean FSX is going to run smooth. 2,2Ghz is very low... You are in for quite a disappointment, if you're expecting much. If anyone has any real experience with those graphic cards, they will report here. But you are probably out of luck, since there are only a handful of users here running FSX on a laptop. For a good performance on a laptop, you are gonna need a real gaming laptop, with a high(er) clocked SB/IB and mobile 560 at least or so. They do cost a small fortune though... Alienware, Asus gaming laptops and co. Take this as an example on performance scaling in Nvidia sector: http://www.gizmag.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-580m-gpu/19067/

Alienware, Asus gaming laptops and co. Take this as an example on performance scaling in Nvidia sector: http://www.gizmag.co...580m-gpu/19067/ I apologize for multiple posts.. Because of my budget limitations,I finally decided between for the following laptops: The model names are: hp pavilion dv6-6151tx http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/in/en/ho/WF06b/321957-321957-3329744-64354-64354-5082212-5173886.html?dnr=1 & hp pavilion dv6- 7010tx http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/in/en/ho/WF06b/321957-321957-3329744-64354-64354-5226230-5239284.html?dnr=1 Because dv6-6151tx(i7 2670qm) has got 4gb cpu ram and 2 gb gpu ram(amd 6770m), whereas dv6-7010tx (i7 3610qm) has got 6 gb cpu ham and same 2 gb gpu ram(nvidia 630m) Which one should I opt for?
May 4, 201214 yr I would go with the dv6-7010tx. Newer processor and nVidia GPU, even though the 6770 is faster
May 4, 201214 yr Same here, get the dv6-7010tx. That i7 3610QM CPU will handle FSX quite well, because.. Turbo Boost: 3300 MHz (1 core) 3200 MHz (2 cores) 3100 MHz (3 or 4 cores) http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_i7/Intel-Core%20i7-3610QM%20Mobile%20processor.html The HDD is slow though, change that to SSD or XT Momentus.
May 4, 201214 yr 7010tx then. HDD should be replaced, you can do it usually yourself, simply just stick the SSD in it.
