May 9, 200422 yr Can anyone please help me? What do those horrible green blocks mean?Do i miss some texture or it's an alien invasion? Thanks in advanceLuigi ;-)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/75222.jpg
May 9, 200422 yr Wow thats new to me!! Did you try to uninstall and re install the scenery? I think in the readme file it sais if you had the first version installed you need to delete it, and then install the new version. I dont know what could cause those green blocks. If my info was useless I hope someone else can help you out.:-) Regan
May 9, 200422 yr I have the same thing on my computer as well. I only see this at KBOS and no where else have I noticed this problem. I suspected some addon texture scenery file I might have added may have caused this in the main texture file for FS9. But Im not sure. Haven't tried reinstalling the scenery but if that works I would be very interested.Don
May 9, 200422 yr I think in the readme file it sais if you had the>first version installed you need to delete it, and then>install the new versionthat's exactly what i did, and usually do. Anyway i'm downloading again v1.1 as we speak.Done! Now i reinstall the scenery and reportcheersLuigi ;-)
May 9, 200422 yr Well, as i suspected, it's not an installation related trouble.I compared Logan v1.1 folders and both installations have 80 scenery files and 109 texture files. In my opinion those green block are wrong untextured scenery objects in main scenery folder....which files should i delete? Thanks for helpingLuigi ;-)
May 9, 200422 yr Well I just looked at my KBOS and in that location in my scenery are two bulldozers. In your picture you have those 2 block where your bulldozers should be. Look in your KBOS scenery folder and delete the file "VehL.bgl" Make sure you save this file some place first though. After you delete this file try the sim again and see if you still get these green blocks. I think these might be the problem. If this is indeed the problem let me know. I will email you a copy of this file since my KBOS scenery does not have these green blocks.Regan
May 9, 200422 yr Hi all, just yesterday I noticed a similar problem, except that I got some fully textured buildings that didn't belong at the airport. I found no corresponding textures in the Boston folder (the buildings were some office blocks with the name 'B Nordeste' on it). So I concluded that it was some other scenery interfering with the Boston one - and indeed, giving top priority to KBOS in the scenery library got rid of the problem.Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
May 9, 200422 yr Thanks a lot my friends.Things are getting complicated: buldozers, extra unwanted building (textured/untextured) due to a too lower scenery layer....So do i miss buldozers textures?Or perhaps i miss building textures?Or i have extra untextured building? What about calling Boston author? George......can you read me?ThanksLuigi ;-)
May 9, 200422 yr >So do i miss buldozers textures?Or perhaps i miss building textures?Or i have extra untextured building?;) - there shouldn't be a building in that location. So it's covering up the bulldozers that should be there. Try changing the scenery layer and see what happens.Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
May 9, 200422 yr Gosta, just an input... 'Nordeste B' sounds like something Brazilian or Portuguese (probably signifying north-east wing of a building or airport). Maybe you have such a 'latin' scenery? Good luck and kind regards Jaap
May 10, 200422 yr Hi Jaap, yeah, I figured that one out, but I couldn't find any scenery I have that has the right texture - the building represents a branch of 'Banco do Nordeste', a Brazilian bank with headquarters in Fortaleza, for which I do indeed have a scenery. The fun part is, the texture is nowhere to be found....Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
May 10, 200422 yr Hi folks. As simple as moving KBOS layer at the top of scenery.cfg file...Those are what i call MISTERY of MSFS .-coolGood catch Gosta, thank you.Luigi ;-)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/75395.jpg
