Apparently it is not only the maximum DVI bandwidth that limits the maximum resolution you can get. Both our cards have dual link DVI-I connectors. The maximum resolution I can get on my 7770 is 3x 1280x104 while you get 3x 1680x1050 on your GTX580 (as probably als TechguyMaxC). I already installed the latest firmware and driver so that can't be the 'problem'. I still think there must be a differende between a 7770 and a GTX580 on a different level than just the DVI bandwidth. Knowing that I am strongly considering buying a GTX580 in my current system before I build a new rig.
