Nvidea GTX550TI

500GB Hybrid SSD Hard drive (main), secondary 500GB HDD

Thanks for the link, Jim, this problem all started after I bought and installed Addon Converter X by FlightSimTools to convert the large FS9 files I had on my backup drive. A few months ago I had a main drive failure on my old rig and after rebuilding it decided to convert to Windows 7 64bit and change to FSX Delux with Acceleration because I've lost 35% of my old FS9 data (teach me to backup regulary)!

Up to now I've followed all the advice in the threads including:-

Putting default Scenery and FSX cfgs in place

Userinterface\Situations= FSX.cfg

Carried out maintenance repair with FSX discs

Deleted all addon scenery and simobject airplane files

I now have a fatal error crash on selecting FSX, don't even reach the Free Flight screen

Error is now:-

Problem signature:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

Application Name: fsx.exe

Application Version: 10.0.61637.0

Application Timestamp: 46fadb14

Fault Module Name: simprop.dll

Fault Module Version: 10.0.61637.0

Fault Module Timestamp: 46fadb59

Exception Code: c0000005

Exception Offset: 00006da7

OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

Locale ID: 2057

Additional information about the problem:

LCID: 2057

The fault module has changed to simprop.dll

Any ideas?

Nige

Cured this problem by doing a complete FSX un-install, registry and file clean with CCleaner. Re-install plus adding a Vista 32bit UIAutomationCore.dll to FSX. Have now got the task of re-installing everything and testing.
