My problem hasn't occured for a while untill last night when I was doing a flight on VATSIM with a friend. The flight lasted for 2 hours and on my approach into Chicago (from Boston) the sim got really choppy and I began to notice some weird graphical bugs. Specifically, the multiplayer chat text (the green bar at the top) would only show a solid green bar with no text and when I tried to see my frame rates I would only see a solid red bar at the top of my screen. My friend also had the same problem before we departed Boston and I asked him about the symptoms he was having. He told me that he also had these similiar solid green/red bars on the screen and was unable to access his frame rate display. He also told me that when he applied the parking breaks, he saw a blank red bar at the bottom of the screen, which didn't say "parking break."The weird thing is that we both had this type of a problem during totally different times of the flight. He hadn't even taxied out to the runway when he ran into the above scenario. For me, It wasn't untill the final decent after a 2 hour flight untill this problem occured. We were both on VATSIM and we both have fast computers with a lot of memory and good ATI graphics cards. The last time i experienced this was a couple months ago after a longer flight.Anyone experience similiar phenomina?Could it be something to do with online flying, scenery, etc???Thanks in advance for the help!Chris SmithCleveland ARTCC Computer Specs if it helps:ATI 9800 PRO XT 2562.8 GHZ Processor1 Gig memory

I'm not sure what causes it, but I have seen the same thing- only after adjusting mip-map settings. I have to exit and restart. I could venture to say it might be an ATI issue. I have seen it after a complete re-install of the OS, so it has to be a hardware thing.

I always offer this advice becuase it helps me every time I run into this. Delete the original FS9 config file and start again, I think it will help.:-) If not, just ignore what I said!:+
