Tweak to get the Cub and Maule turning tighter

Figured I'd share since I just got this working last week. I've been fed up for a while now watching the Piper Cub and Maule M7 taxi ridiculously around airports because they turn so wide they miss taxiways and can't properly pull into some parking locations at airports where they are packed in tight. Most default airports the parking isn't a problem but if you space them to real-world dimensions you start seeing issues with the taxiway being too close to the parking space for the Cub and M7 to turn fully in without getting "lost" and wandering around in big circles for a while before pulling in or just coming close and shutting down wherever.

 

Well I finally decided to do something about it and that was to modify the [contact_points] in the aircraft.cfg file to move the tail gear closer to the main gear and increase the turning degree of the tail gear to give the two aircraft close to the same turn performance as the rest. They'll still be seen turning a bit wider than the nose gear aircraft but now at least they will be able to stay on the blasted taxiways and pull into 99% of parking spots.

 

Obviously messing with these settings will mess with the actual aircraft when you fly them so if you use the default M7 or Cub for flying don't forget to revert before doing so (you should be making a backup anyways...)

 

So yea - here ya go:

 

For tighter turns in Maule AI aircraft overwrite in aircraft.cfg [contact_points] with this:

point.0 = 1, -8.0, 0.00, -3.5, 1500, 0, 0.36, 350.0, 0.3, 2.5, 0.7, 0.0, 0.0, 0

 

For tighter turns in Piper Cub AI aircraft overwrite in aircraft.cfg [contact_points] with this:

point.0=1, -6.00, 0.0, -3.6, 1800, 0, 0.238, 350.0, 0.300, 2.5, 0.40, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0
