fs9 : aircraft texture partially not loading

Featured Replies

HelloAfter many years of flight simlation i now got a real problem.I am using fs9 under winXP media center edition with a GeForce FX 5600.The problem is, that some aircaft textures don't load. The first time i recognized this was with the new IFDG A321 where only the wing textures loaded. After that the same happens to all aircraft in fs9.I downloaded the newest graphic driver and reinstalled fs to fix this problem but without any changes.I also tryed to fix it by chancel all useless processes in windows.May some of you know that problem and have a solution ready ;-)have a nice flightberndps.: please excuse my english. but its a few month ago i used it the last time ;-)

just a screen to show you the problem ;-)

I found IFDG planes to be slow loading as far as textures are concerned on my machine.

Go to the FS9.cfg, find this line:TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=40and change it to TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=240You can try bigger numbers up to about 400, but 240 seems about optimum on my MSI FX5600 256meg.Allcott

hi allcott, thanks for that hint .. but it dosn't make any difference.today i build in an additional fan for the graphic card ... may it was just a little hot !?bernd

Having same problem here. Nothing to do with ifdg's "slow loading textures" Never had a problem with that. If you look at his screenshot is of the default C-172. My problem started out slow. Only certian aircraft had the problem. But a quick reload of aircraft and/or change aircraft solved problem. First it would be wing textures missing. or fuselage. Now its pretty much all textures on all aircraft. Just as in the pic. Sometimes will have the landscape show up a nasty bright blue as well. I too have tried almost everything I can think of. I am almost to the point of uninstalling/reinstalling. EDIT: BTW my TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT= is at 400

Hello,Check what setting you have in the following place...Control Panel --> System --> Advanced --> Performance 'Settings' button --> Advanced Tab --> Memory UsageUnder 'Memory Usage' which bullet is checked? Programs or System Cache? If it is set to 'System Cache' then that is probably your problem. Make sure it's set to 'Programs'.Regards,Jim

BINGO !!! Thanks a bunch Jim. That has seemed to correct the problem...:) I was really starting to dread the thought of reloading all my add-on's, to include 350+ AI Airlines. Thanks again Jim...
