Help please! Texture weirdness

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I just started having some issues with textures. I like to fly to/from YSSY, and the textures for jetway extensions in Ray Smith's AFCAD aren't loading. They load if I use Alexander Czarnecki's instead, but if I edit and re-compile the airport they won't load. Any help would be appreciated.

What is your scenery complexity set at? Ray's jetways are usually set to normal.

Scenery complexity is at the maximum, that's not the problem.

Double check his installation instructions. If i remember correctly on a few of Rays AFCADS you have to copy 2 stock jetway textures (day and night) from a regional directory to the Global\Scenery\Texture directory depending on which one he is using for that particular AFCAD.

You shouldn't need to be editing your fsx.cfg for Rays AFCADS to work.

I've done that already, uninstalling and reinstalling the AFCADs a number of times. I'm starting to fear something may have gone wrong with my FSX install

I've now even tried removing and reinstalling FSX, and still every airport that uses the jetway extensions from JFK won't display them
