Airbus 2 EVO vertical profile - A340

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I am having a few problems with A340 from Wilco (EVO) and maybe you can help me.

I set fuel, payload, all the details correctly.

After the usual cockpit prep is done, I get to the FMC and set it up. I set the flight level to FL330 and all is good.

The pain starts after takeoff.

After the AP is engaged, the FMC enters the CLB mode, which is great and makes me very proud. The "bug" is set to 34000, so it should all go smoothly.

But then it gets to FL340 and goes on climbing. In the display it still says "CLB". In the FMC, in the PROG page, it is also in CLB mode, even if the plane has passed way over the intended altitude.

I have tried pushing, pulling, turning and biting the knobs, with no success... the only way I found to keep it level is to override the FMC and enter V/S mode, and even so I can't get it to be 0, it's always something like "+70 fps" or "-70 fps", so from time to time I have to change it a little bit.

Am I missing something here or does it have a known bug?

I'm using win 7 - 64bits and FSX.

The installation was clean and I bought the product.

Any help would be major, as I ran out of ideas.

Many thanks

Mytho

You're pulling the throttles from the takeoff mode you used (FLEX or TOGA) in to CLB mode, correct?
