Justplanes BWIA A340 dvd -slightly OT?

Featured Replies

Just watched the above and must say it was a bit disappointing. Having gone through the pre flight at Heathrow and ready for departure a notice comes on that states that "just planes did not get approval for being in the cockpit for departure"...Could have been a 9/11 reason? Dont know. Needless to say I was waiting to see this and its not there. Had I known this I probably would not have bought the video. So a heads up here for those thinking of it. The camera did not get back into the cockpit until well out of London @FL340.The trip to Barbados was pretty good as a captain gave a pretty good description of the instruments etc..Give him an A. The landing was a visual into BGI and was reasonable. Would have liked to hear more call outs but no biggie. Amazing how the cockpit looks like the MS flight sim stuff. Maybe someone could clarify for me how come the fuel is measured in Kilograms (decimal) and the oil in quarts? or maybe the captain read it wrong?Three Dash8 trips from Trinidad/Tobago are included, The last one was of no use to a flight simmer. All outside sight seeing viewing. Port prop and landing gear. Return trip to London on the A340 has the cockpit departure which was some satisfaction.Overall I give it a C+/B- and thought this wide aviation forum may be interested. The A340 is certainly quite a planeBill
